Companies build data lakes on AWS need a way to govern and secure access to data in order to enable secure self-service analytics. Today, customers need to manage access to data in different tools making it difficult to enforce consistent permissions and audit access. In this tech talk you will learn how to use AWS Lake Formation, a central data governance service, tag-based access controls to manage fine-grained permissions for data in Amazon S3. You will also learn how AWS Lake Formation can enforce column, row and cell-level permissions to restrict access to sensitive information in a consistent, performant and scalable manner.
