This Siteground review will focus on the core aspects of SiteGround such as the price, performance, extra features and quirky nuances you can expect from such a seasoned provider. SiteGround is actually one of the community favorites but recently it has been falling out of grace due to the repeated increases in price. Does SiteGround have any tricks up its sleve? Well, that's exactly what you'll find out in this short SiteGround review.

Pricing
SiteGround doesn't really want for you to know this or pay much attention to it when buying their services but they have a really COMPLICATED pricing plan. As I'll go over in this SiteGround review there are a lot of factors that can influence your web hosting price when buying SiteGround.
For example, the prices you see on their web site are actually only introductory prices. Meaning they only apply to your first purchase, but even that price is different based on the period that you buy. The longer the period the higher the price as opposed to other web hosting providers that offer cheaper plans if you buy for longer.
As I detail in my SiteGround review your price is also affected by something called the "Regular Renewal Price" which is almost in all cases 2x or 3x higher than the "Introductory" price. To make a long story short, SiteGround is NOT a cheap web hosting provider and be prepared to pay much more than their website suggests.

Extra Features
However, paying a little bit more than usual does come with its benefits. SiteGround is offering MORE than other web hosting providers in a similar price range. You get a free SSL certificate with all plans, free daily backups and a free CDN. They also use a custom control panel so you're not forced to used an outdated cPanel design.
SiteGround makes the website creation and management process extremely simple especially if you have multiple websites. Since you can control every single one from the same dashboard. And every tool or menu you have to use does have that "premium" feel. Nothing is broken or unclear.
I go over the control panel and added benefits of SiteGround a lot more in-depth in my full SiteGround review.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Technology Used
This is so important that I even gave it a separate segment in this SiteGround review. Not all web hosting companies are the same, they use different hardware, different server locations and data centers and different software.
As I've covered in this SiteGround review they do not cheap out on the hardware or software. SiteGround actually uses the latest possible technology and their servers are in an extremely good shape. They're an independent company and use mostly self developed or created tools.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Developer & Freelancer friendly
And the final point that I wanted to make clear in this summary of SiteGround is their platform is excellent for developers or freelancers. Using something that SiteGround is calling "The collaboration tool" you can give different permissions to different users.
This allows you to buy only 1 web hosting plan and host different websites on it. You can choose to give clients access to ONLY their website without compromising security of others. And there's a staging environment to test out changes before they go live and easy GIT integration.
Definitely a good choice if you're working with clients or multiple websites at once.

Conclusion
To summarize my SiteGround review, I don't think they're for everybody. Yes, the control panel is excellent, the features they offer are top notch and the servers are amazing. But they're expensive, not everyone needs these kind of powerful tools and if it's your first website going for a cheaper web hosting solution is often much more than enough.
