Since 2019, PETRONAS has undergone digital transformation, migrating workloads to the cloud. They faced challenges with reactive monitoring, leading to long resolution times. After a critical workload went down with no observability, PETRONAS shifted to proactive monitoring using AWS native tools. Implementing cross-account CloudWatch dashboards across 20+ linked accounts streamlined visibility and sped up monitoring by 50%.

PETRONAS leveraged AWS Cost Optimization tools to right-size resources, driving $2.4 million or 25% in cloud cost savings year-to-date. This proactive approach enabled PETRONAS to enhance operational excellence, monitor on-premises apps seamlessly, and optimize their cloud footprint. AWS empowered innovation by providing cloud-native capabilities for proactive monitoring, cost optimization, and minimal disruptions for cloud workloads.
