While the SFP28 module is defined by its ability to support transmission rates of 25GB in one lane, the QSFP28 supports 4 lanes of 25G, for an aggregate data rate of 100G! <br />

Working hand in hand, QSFP28 to SFP28 breakout connectivity demonstrate how both cables complement one another in 100G networks. Breakout cables, known as DACs and AOCs, are a great solution for upgrading your network without the added complexity of fiber cabling. Breakout DAC and AOCs consist of a 100G QSFP28 end, split to four 25G SFP28 ends to aggregate 25G traffic to a 100G port.<br />
